Alba Orbital to host 1st Asian PocketQube Workshop

Alba Orbital, a Glasgow-based PocketQube satellite company, will be organizing the 1st Asian PocketQube Workshop in Singapore, on 5 November 2018.

The goal of this workshop is to offer a venue to foster collaboration and understanding of PocketQubes, a relatively new form factor of very small satellites comprising of one or more cubic units of approximately 5 cm. PocketQubes belong to the class of satellites is known as picosats (100g – 1000g), except that they are an order of magnitude smaller.

The workshop will give participants an introduction to PocketQubes and picosats in general, including their hardware, applications, and development. Speakers include representatives from Alba Orbital, as well as Australia-based Picosat Systems and Nepal-based ORION Space.
