Sky Perfect JSAT, Asia’s largest satellite operator, has signed a strategic partnership with Kymeta, a company which develops satellite antenna technology, to provide new satellite communications technology to the Japanese market.
The new technology, known as the Kymeta mTenna™, will ensure high throughput connectivity to mobile platforms such as moving vehicles, IoT, and more, which can be used in industries such as transportation, disaster management, and enterprise.
According to the agreement, JSAT will be able to utilize and develop the mTenna™ technology for its satellites, and will also invest in Kymeta. The two enterprises will also showcase the technology across Japan in the summer of 2017.
