Thaicom signs MoU with Huawei and Starcor for OTT broadcasting in Thailand

Thailand’s largest satellite operator, Thaicom, announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Chinese giant Huawei and Chinese end-to-end Over-the-Top (OTT) solutions provider Starcor.

The MoU aims to develop next-generation OTT broadcasting services in Thailand, targeting the enterprise, educational, government and telecom sectors. Under the agreement, Thaicom will provide satellite capacity and data center services.

Huawei and Starcor will focus on as-a-Service (aaS) offerings, with Huawei providing cloud computing, virtualized computing resources and infrastructure aaS, and Starcor providing OTT platforms and integrating third-party media and content management platforms.
